About Us
Design For The Ages is a full service interior design firm providing services to whatever degree you desire - from improved
space planning and home staging to window treatment design to remodeling projects large and small. Mical Traynor is an interior designer who has been in the home furnishings, accessory and design industry since
2000 and is a Allied
Member of ASID. In addition to her degree in Marketing Education from Auburn University, Mical also has a Degree in Interior Design.
Mical's professional experience includes residential and commercial design. After working as a Showroom Manager and Sales
Manger for a leading Atlanta furniture wholesaler, Mical began her design career at Cornerstone Interiors in Duluth and Home
Expressions Interiors in Alpharetta in residential design support and sales. After completing her degree in Interior Design,
Mical opened Design For The Ages, a full service interior design firm. Residential experience includes homes in the metro
Atlanta area including Brookhaven/Sandy Springs, Suwanee/Cumming, and Midtown Atlanta. Mical's commercial experience
includes co-leading the redesign of the Student Services, Administrative offices, and Reception area for the Oakwood
Campus of Lanier Technical College in 2006.
In addition, Mical holds certification as an Certified Aging-In Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Homebuilders Association. This certification allows Mical to consult with homeowners who choose to remain in their current homes as they "age in place". It also allows those planning a retirement home to include universal design elements in their plans allowing for the greatest value over time in their home.

Mical currently serves as Member-at-Large for the Board of Directors of the Universal Design Alliance and publishes the
organization's quarterly newsletter. Mical also serves on the Advisory Board for the Interiors program at Lanier Technical
College and serves as an adjunct Instructor. Design For The Ages was also a proud sponsor of
Laurel Springs Golf Club
